Ucoal Delivers PRESTASI Education Aid to 80 Outstanding Students in Musi Banyuasin

Ucoal Sumberdaya has once again demonstrated its commitment to advancing education in its operating regions through the PRESTASI education program (Program Edukasi untuk Anak Negeri). The program supports 80 high school and vocational students in Musi Banyuasin Regency and is organized by PT Baturona Adimulya and PT Astaka Dodol.
The aid was handed over symbolically by the Regent of Musi Banyuasin, H.M Toha, at the Muba Regency Government Auditorium on Thursday, 31 July 2025.
Appreciation from Local Government
During the event, the Regent of Musi Banyuasin expressed high appreciation for both companies' commitment to education in the region. He emphasized that education is a long-term investment that shapes the direction and quality of future generations, as well as the future of Musi Banyuasin Regency.
The education aid was directed at outstanding students from six districts: Sekayu, Lais, Babat Toman, Sanga Desa, Keluang, and Babat Supat. The PRESTASI program is seen as a concrete step to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and local government in developing high-quality human resources.
Company Commitment to Community Development
The Director of Ucoal Sumberdaya, Dr Prastiyo Diatmono, MBA, who represented the company, explained that the PRESTASI program is part of the company's commitment to community development, particularly in education. He underlined the company's aspiration to help nurture the best generation from an early stage, so that high-achieving students can continue their studies to higher levels.
Beyond education, the program will continue with various other initiatives, including support for small businesses (UMKM) and the development of five local culinary products with the potential to be marketed nationally. The company reaffirmed its commitment not only to benefit from its operating region but also to help build the community within it.
Aid Recipients
The aid was symbolically presented to six students: Erni Lestari (SMA Negeri 3 Sanga Desa), Mutiana (SMA Negeri 1 Sanga Desa), Kurnia Delvina (SMA Negeri 1 Babat Toman), Fita Kartini (SMA Babat Supat), Aditya (SMK Negeri 1 Keluang), and Fitriana Zulfia (SMA Negeri 1 Lais).
The event was also attended by local government officials, district heads, company representatives, school principals, and the student recipients.
